SCREW YOUR NEIGHBOR

Setup:

  1. 4 to 6 players require 1 deck.
  2. Game is played as partners.

Beginning play:

  1. Deal 7 cards to each player.
  2. Player to dealers left begins play by playing any card in his/her hand.
  3. The next player must follow suit, play a card of the same number or he/she may play a joker if they wish to.
  4. A deuce may be played if it matches the suit played or on top of another deuce.
  5. A joker may be played at any time on any card.
  6. If a player discards a deuce, the next player must draw two cards and the play moves to the next player.
  7. If a deuce is discarded to a player that player may play a deuce or a joker on top of this deuce and the next player must draw two cards for every deuce played and 5 cards for every joker played.
  8. When a joker is played and the next player pulls the required number of cards that player may than discard using the card below the joker or jokers as the card to follow.
  9. If a player play’s an Ace, the play moves in the opposite direction. I.E.: Player to your left throws a 4 of diamonds, if you play an Ace of diamonds; the play goes back to the player on your left.
  10. If a player plays a 7, the play skips the player who would normally have played next. This continues until a card other than a 7 is played.
  11. A Jack may be played at any time to change the suit. Often used when out of a suit or if trying to match a suit you know your partner may want called.
  12. If a player cannot follow a suit and cannot use a Jack to call a suit, he/she must draw from a pile until they can make a play.
  13. A player does not have to use his Jack if he/she does not wish to but must pull from the pile until he/she can make a play.

Rules:

  1. Game is over when one player is completely out of cards.
  2. When a player plays his next to last card he/she must declare, “last card”. If this doesn’t happen and another player catches it, each player must give this player a card. If in so doing a player has only one card left that player must also declare “last card” and the same rules apply.
