Wheel of Fortune Game by Gametek Reviewed by Adrock gbcam@hotmail.com Size: 1 megabit Save: None Released: 1990 Works with: Any Game Boy **************************************************************************** Opening Snide Remarks: Would you like to play Wheel of Fortune on your Game Boy? Well, obviously, if you are reading this, you have some interest in the game. Duh. Let's see how it unfolds. **************************************************************************** Gameplay Descripion: The play is pretty basic. But hey, that's how the show is. Two player mode is kind of fun. Liked: Fun 2 player mode and basic play. Hated: I hate how if you win a Porsche, you can't really have a Porsche. And if you win the state of Hawaii, you don't even get to go there! What's up with that? They should of just left prizes out of the game so you don't get jealous. **************************************************************************** Graphics Description: Where's Vanna? This isn't Vanna! And where is Pat? Oh, well. The game looks good, none-the-less. Liked: Once again, basic graphics. Hated: There's no Vanna or Pat! **************************************************************************** Sound/Music Description: Nothing dramatic. You have your Wheel of Fortune theme song, and three notes for if you win. Sound effects are limited to the wheel spinning, and a low, rude sound if you get something wrong. Liked: Theme song. Hated: Don't expect FF Legend's symphony from Wheel of Fortune. **************************************************************************** Play Control/Game Design: They need to give you more time. Also the letters need to be layed out in smaller rows for easier navigation. Liked: Nice control overall. Hated: Need more time to let you think. Letter layout. **************************************************************************** Improve: A Game Boy Color version would be nice. RIYL: Jeopardy **************************************************************************** Final Words: Wheel of Fortune has novelty at first, but, as most game shows go, this one gets old. You know what they should do? They should put a whole bunch of Game Shows on one pak; like Fortune, Jeopardy, Price is Right, Family Feud, etc. Then it would get old less quickly. **************************************************************************** Score Gameplay: *** Graphics: *** Sound/Music: *** Play Control/Game Design: *** Personal Opinion: *** Total: 15 out of 25 Final Score: %60 **************************************************************************** Currently Known Codes: None.
