Spaetzle (a kind of homemade noodles)
Serves 4:
500 g flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
125-150 ml water
preparation: Make with the ingredients a tough dough, stir
until the dough becomes aerated. Put some dough on a thin
board and cut cut with a knife small dough slices in boiling
water. The spaetzle are ready when they rise. Remove them
with a skimmer. Serve with melted butter.
Cheese spaetzle
Ingredients for 4 persons:
500 g flour
4 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
125-150 ml water
2 tablespoons butter
100 g grated cheese
roasted chopped onions
preparation: Arrange alternately layers of spaetzle, grated
cheese and roasted onions. The last layer should be cheese.
Spoon melted butter on the top. Gratinate in the preheated
oven at 180 C for 20 minutes.
