Basic Restoration & Retouching

Medium Restoration & Colorization
1. Repair missing areas in a critical area such as a small part of face. sometimes need another photo of the same person to make the repair possible. 2.Colorize a B&W Photo (top) 3. Colorize a totally fade color photo which color adjustment can not bring the colors back (middle). 4. make a portrait from an old picture (bottom, the frame is just a imitation) 5. Damages on eyes or being too large, fantasy creation rate may apply or impossible to repair. If another photo of the same person is available it will be a great help.


Fantasy Creation
1. Take a subject out of a photo 2. add a subject to a photo 3. create a new background The examples left show the combination of 2 photos (up and middle) and the replacement of background (bottom)

The Rescue of Colour Fading
1. The colours on this colour slide has totally faded.
2. By using Curve, The red colour is tremendously boosted and green, blue colours are decreased. The correct densities on each channel basically bring back the original colours.
3. Fine tunes make it vividly colourful again.
