We try to apply the above to all concerned services, however prices may vary if additional works are needed, in cases like this an estimate will be provided for approval.

Services include:
1. One film scan (preferable, better result) or flatbed scan (up to 8"x10") of one image
2. Repair of scratches, missing parts if possible
3. Removal of dust, stain and unwanted subject
4. Adding subject new background etc.
5. Color enhancement, contrast and brightness adjustments
6. One print of fixed image up to 8"x10"

Valuable photos may get lost in mail, we will take great care of them on our hand, but can't guarantee anything may happen on its way in and out. We suggest: Make a film by yourself, it is safe and saving make a photo copy by using your 35mm camera, but don't use a direct flash light form you camera's hot shoe. It will create a burn out white spot.  Off camera, 45 degrees toward the photo will be fine. For small photos, you may need a macro lens. In a cloudy or overcast day using existing outdoor day light would produce a good picture, but mounting your camera on a tripod is necessary.  The last thing is to keep you photo in the camera viewfinder as square as the photo itself. The secret is to keep your film plane parallel the photo which should be mounted on a flat surface like wall or window glass panel. When the two surfaces are paralleled to each other, move around the photo to let in fall into the viewfinder, not to tilt or swivel the camera lens. Thus your original will be safe and you will save ship cost. Shipping and Packaging If you want to ship the photo to us, protect the photo by two cardboards, one above one below. They should be a bit bigger than the photo. A plastic bag is recommended to keep the photo away from getting wet caused by rain. Ship it by a shipping system that can track you mail.

4. Images to sell

All images you can find is for sale except for those portrait, prices are based on file size.

File size: Pixel length x pixel width x color depth of a image, not a compressed file size, even if you choose a compressed file format like Jpeg.

The currently available size is about 6 - 10 MB.  If a size larger than those is required we need to re-scan the original photo and re-do all manipulation again in order to keep premium quality.

The table below is a guide for pixel dimensions vs. file size.   please note not all images in a same size have same dimensions, some may be wider, others longer.  This will give you a idea which size may be suitable for your usage.  For instance, a 6.5MB image can be used for printing a 4" x 6" picture at 300dpi, or 5' x 7.5" at 240dpi Scanning Resolution Actual pixel dimensions of a 35mm film scanned after cropping  Resulting file size  1360 ppi 1230 x 1845 6.5MB 1500 ppi 1350 x 2025 7.8MB 1650 ppi 1490 x 2228 9.5MB 2000 ppi 1800 x 2700 13.9MB 2720 ppi 2450 x 3675 25.8MB

Remarks

1. Please specify file format Tiff or Jpeg, others may be available.
2. Store on a CD at no additional cost
3. Jpeg files only use minimal compress and an original 6MB RGB file after compress would be around 2MB.

Payment:

For New Zealand customers, payment is to be in NZ fund, personal check is acceptable but please put down your driver license number and address on the back of the check.

Other customers can pay bank draft or money order etc. Payable in US fund. before delivery. A low resolution proof copy will be sent via e-mail for approval before  shipping and payment. Sorry no credit card payment yet.
