Results: (Part I)




General:

The chart shows our intake from various villages.  The highest intake is from Maesalong.  Till date, we have had a total of 66 people accepted for drug rehabilitation.  11 are still undergoing rehabilitation, another 2 have completed the program but under 6 month probation, these are not included in the study.

General Outcome:
This chart shows the success rate of the program; Of the 53 we accepted for rehabilitation, 20 completed the full program, and 33 did not complete i.e. they escaped, sent home because of disciplinary reasons, or released early because of special circumstances.  Of the 20 who complete, 14 (70%) were successful, compared with 90% failure rate of those who did not complete the program

Gender Factor:
Gender did not prove to be a significant factor in determining successful outcome.  Females are as likely to succeed as males; although experience wise females are more troublesome to rehabilitate
