Clearwater Fun 'n Sun '03
AAU Girls Basketball Shootout
When: April 19
Where: Pinellas County Gyms
Format: A six-team, one-day shootout
Ages: 10-Under through 18-Under
Prizes: Individual awards for first and second place finish in each age division.
Entry Fee: $250
This is the 12th annual Fun n Sun Tournament, and it has grown into the largest one-day tournament in Florida. We have grown in part because of our reputation for quality, in competition, playing sites, game playing lengths, and officiating. This year, we will feature competition in age divisions spanning from 10-U to 18-U. The field in each division will be limited to six teams and grouped into two three- team pools, with championship games following pool play, and each team is guaranteed three games. The games will be played with: regulation AAU time according to the age group, three full and two 20 second timeouts per game, 4-minute halftimes, 7-minute warm-ups between games, two high-school certified paid officials. The playing sites are all located in and around Clearwater.
