Tributes From Cody's Friends

Cody was the first friend I made when I moved out here from St. Louis. We liked to do things together-fishing, swimming, bridge jumping, wrestling on his trampoline, And even sleeping on the trampoline when I stayed over there. He was a good friend and I will always miss him.

Travis

Words cannot explain how everybody feels. It must be very hard for you. I may or may not know something of how you feel-my sister is still alive but I feel I have already lost her to drugs. Cody was a good friend of mine that I could always talk to and I wish I had the words to say what I feel. Let me know when the services are so I can say goodbye one last time to Cody.

Adrianna

Cody was Dirk's best friend and I got to know him for a short time while I was dating Dirk. I'm glad I knew him-- Cody was a great light. I loved him as a friend and I know that Dirk loved him too. I am thankful for Cody's life and friendship.

Amee

Cody was one of my best friends. We did almost everything together-swimming, going to parties, and we talked a lot. I really loved him. He helped me to get over the death of my fiancee and now he is gone too. I will never forget him.

Kassy

I'll see you when I get there someday too. I miss you.

Matt

Cody's mom-I'm sorry this tragedy happened. I didn't know Cody very long but I thought he was really a great person. I do know that he is at peace now and happy wherever he is. His body may be dead but his spirit lives on.

Lindsey

Mrs. Bradley, I am so sorry about Cody's passing. In the time I lived with Cody he was somebody who had something special inside him. We may never understand why this happened but he will be missed and never forgotten. I know that he's now in a better place and that his energy will never cease to exist. May he rest in peace and happiness.

Marco, ex-roommate and friend

Cody, you were always there for me when I needed you. I expected to always see you in school each year. You kept us smiling day after day through the good and the bad times. Talk is cheap but friends are forever. Even though you aren't here in person, you are still in our hearts and will remain there forever. We will always miss you, but remember that we still love you down deep inside. You live in our hearts and we will always and forever love you.

Daphne

Cody and I were good friends. I enjoyed hanging out with him because he had a really great sense of humor. I wish I could have helped him out and I wish I had been in touch more with him at the end.

Ray

Cody was a great friend to me and I'm going to miss him terribly. Cody was a really smart guy. He made me laugh a lot and it seemed I was always able to be happy around him. I hope you have some good memories, Mrs. Bradley.

Stephanie

Cody was the greatest friend and I loved him so much. He was always willing to help me through my time of need or crises. He always made me laugh and smile. Even when he teased, he was the hardest person to stay mad at for very long. He was a really smart and caring person. He always had a reason or explanation to help me with the problems in my life and was the easiest person to talk to. He never made fun of the things I asked him or tried to change my opinion about life. I hope you will remember the good parts of his life, Mrs. Bradley. I loved him.

Jennilee

Although Cody is gone, he will always live in our hearts and souls. Of all the people that came to this grief session for him, and those who didn't, I know they will tell you how much they loved him. I will talk to you later, Mrs. Bradley.

Brian

He came like lightening and left as such, giving us but a glimpse of brilliance before he left, but oh what a glorious light it was.

I only knew Cody for about a year since I moved here but I considered him one of my best friends. Cody, Sean and I always went to the Rec Center to go swimming and to mess around. He would help me with the problems I had and would always take time to talk to me. The times I will remember most with Cody are when we would wrestle behind my apartment, and that day two weeks ago when a bunch of us went cliff jumping. Cody always seemed so full of life and made us happy. I will miss him because he was almost like a second brother to me.

Steven

I met Cody shortly after I moved to Green River. Since I was from the south and talked and dressed differently, everyone made fun of me and went after me. Cody came up and said, "I'll be your buddy." I don't know how I would have made it through the year that I lived there if he hadn't been my friend. I can't believe he is gone. I will miss him terribly.

Josh

Cody was a smart and generous young man who had the ability to go a long way in life. I wish I could have been there because I would have stopped him. I will always remember him and the good friend that he was.

Leonard

Cody was a light in my life. He listened and was the one who showed me how to have fun in life.

Ann

We will miss Cody very much. He was a sweet, gentle, kind young man. You know how sometimes your son or daughter will bring a friend home and that friend remains almost exclusively the friend of your child. Well, that was not the case with Cody. He became a special person to our family. He had a genuine kindness that we couldn't help but notice. I remember how Rob and Cody would sit and talk, and laugh, and talk some more over a cup of hot tea or apple cider. They cooked Oriental dinners together and talked about video games, Celtic music, and the future. Rob will miss Cody very much and Cody will always have a special place in the hearts of everyone in our family.

man Cody had befriended)
