Coffey County EMS is a full time paid service which provides services to approximately 640 square miles. We are a Type One Paramedic service with 14 full time employees operating two Paramedic trucks per day. In addition to all 911 calls we also provide paramedic service to surrounding communities for ALS transfers to tertiary facilties in larger cities within Eastern Kansas. Our Mission It is the mission of Coffey County EMS to provide the highest quality of patient care that is effective to the communities we serve, while providing individual and corporate growth and profitability. While providing quality patient care it is also our intent to provide the communities we serve with the highest standards of education that incorporates those individuals into our healthcare TEAM. It is the policy of Coffey County EMS to pay wages and to provide benefits for its employees that compare favorably with the EMS services in the area providing the same level of care. It is also our intent to treat employees in a spirit of justice and respect for human dignity. As a part of this policy, it is the services intention to continue improving wages and working conditions for employees whenever and wherever possible, and to otherwise provide the opprotunity for personal achievement and security for those who participate in this service. |

Becoming a Member Individuals interested in working in a progressive small community full time EMS Paramedic level service can apply either in person or submit an application to Coffey County Hospital/EMS. |

Organization News Coffey County EMS in cooperation with Coffey County Emergency Services, Fire, Sheriff's Department, Burlington Police Department, EOC, Dispatch Center and Water Rescue will be offering an awareness level course in January 2004 for all county emergency workers and Eastern Kansas.
