POWERED! Tired of buying batteries for your radio?
This is for you. Used outdoors, it will run on the solar power with
the high energy solar panel array on the top of the unit. But what
happens when it gets dark? You give the crank a bit of a yank...and
you're powered for hours! Hard to believe? Yours truly
(the webmaster...and a skeptic!) took this radio when they came in, made
sure there weren't any batteries in it, blocked off the solar panel array
with black tape, gave the dynamo a few cranks and dialed in my favorite
radio station. That was at 3PM. I left it turned on in my office
all night, came back this morning...and it was still playing just fine!
How come they can't make cars run like this!

on the web for YOU! This beauty only measures 6.5"W x 3.5"H
x 1.5"D, but sounds terrific. Large tuning knob make station tuning
a breeze. Mode switch selects SOLAR/DC CHARGING, BACKUP BATTERY
OPERATION, OR DYNAMO CHARGING MODE. Includes a standard earphone
jack, wrist strap, and a chrome telescoping antenna. Backup battery
operation requires (2) standard AA cells. Perfect for the beach
and other outdoor activities. PLUS...when Y2K comes around, and disaster
hits, and you can't buy batteries (or bread!), the power stations fail,
and you're stranded at home because the banks are shut down and the gas
pumps won't take your credit card...you'll be all set with your dynamo
powered radio!
