FIELD TRIP GUIDELINES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
It is important for us to leave a positive image of homeschoolers at the places that we visit. Your children may participate in field trips if you and they agree with each stipulation set forth below. Before each field trip or activity, please review these guidelines with your children and discuss with them what is or is not appropriate behavior for this activity or situation.

Parents:

  1. Respond by the dates given in the Newsletter or Phone Chain message to the appropriate person in charge of that field trip, event or class to reserve your family's place.

  2. Pay the appropriate deposit and/or entrance fee to the person in charge of that field trip, event or class by the date given in the Newsletter or Phone Chain message.

  3. Have a reasonable number of parents in attendance at each field trip or activity. If there is a good reason you cannot attend, please contact another parent who agrees to be responsible for your child or children. (Do not just "drop off" your kids.)

  4. Plan to arrive five minutes before the designated time for a field trip. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE OR UNABLE TO ATTEND, YOU MUST CALL THE CONTACT PERSON FOR THAT EVENT or another person you know who is going to that same event. Please don't make us wait unnecessarily!
  5.

Everyone:

  1. Children under age for a particular field trip may come only if his own parent is attending and it has been agreed to by the person who set up the field trip, class or event.
  2. No excessive noise will be allowed.
  3. Running in buildings is not permissible.
  4. Respect for all authority, including older students asked to help, is expected of all children.
  5. Self-discipline must be practiced by each participating student.
  6. Each parent agrees to be aware of and correct each other's children and agrees to have his own child corrected by other parents when necessary.
  7. If a child continues to be a disruption, it should be brought to the attention of the parent in charge of that child. Only ONE WARNING will be given to the child and accompanying parent. If he/she disrupts again during the same event, he/she will lose the privilege of attending the next field trip/activity AND/OR be asked to leave immediately.
    1.

IF YOU ATTEND ANY FIELD TRIP OR OTHER ACTIVITY, IT SHOWS YOUR AGREEMENT WITH THE RULES OUTLINED ABOVE.
