"The Flat Iron Building"
688 Hambley Boulevard
Away from Main Street, a warehouse district developed in conjunction with the arrival of the C & O Railroad. Triangular in plan, Greer Root and Herbs is a three story brick building with paired round arched windows and brick corebelling at the cornice. This Commercial Vernacular building was built in 1912. It is one of the two remaining brick warehouses left from the railroad era in Pikeville. It was renovated in 1990 and is presently known as the Flat Iron Building.
