Wonderful, fascinating reading with, I suspect, more truth in it than many would care to believe. I have read various accounts over the years of visits made to these Islands by Christ, Joseph of Aremathea and others associated with Jesus. including the story about the Penzance Police Buttons, with the head of John the Baptist, and the song "I saw three ships". William Blake certainly was of the opinion that Jesus visited this land. When linked with many of the ancient Irish legends about Teia Tehpi and the prophet Jeremiah, also with a strong ring of truth about them, and the various legends surrounding the Stone of Scone, it all helps to explain this nations unique place in the World as inheritors of a truly astonishing birthright.

I have just read your most interesting and informative web site on Cornwall's Legends. Whilst I have read many similar accounts previously, you have written it in a most enjoyable and well considered style, and have certainly included versions I had not read before. To reinforce the theory that Britain was visited by the Phoenicians on a regular basis I will pass the following on to you. Back in the 1960's ( Not sure of exact date ), just on the edge of my home town, Chester-le-Street, in Co. Durham, the river Wear was being investigated, if I remember correctly, prior to being diverted temporarily for a new motorway bridge to be built. The remains of an ancient boat were discovered in the river bed, with evidence of coal as a cargo, and at first thought to be Roman, as it was a well known Roman town "Condercum" Further research however claimed that the boat was much older and was in fact Phoenician! Putting new light on our trading past. N.Birtley < arx106@coventry.ac.uk >

Very interesting. I really enjoyed reading all the stories... and particularly appreciated the poignant comment made in 'Conclusions' regarding whether or not future generations will heed the warnings of not digging in the ground and unearthing buried radioactive waste deposited there by people wanting to boil water to make tea. All in all a very worthwhile site - thankyou for taking the time. Maya.

Thank you for the good work
kernow bys vykken, onan hag oll ! thank you , to all involved with this website,
I have a zeal for seeing and finding more truth
in the area of human history.
especally the history of the 12 tribes.
I am often amazed at the amount of information that is right in front of us, it's simplicty seems to evade detection . It is interesting that the 12 tribes, leave egyept around 1500 bc, and wala the peoples the greeks called the red people appear into history (the phoniceans),
and it has been written that the 12 tribes while in egyept, for 300 years , had become , and filled the ranks of all of egypts army and navy.
as they were just a mercenery group that protected
egypts north in the begining. the beecame the pyamid builders and ship builders of egypt.
so when the 12 tribes left , some took the ship north to the mines of tin , and copper and gold,
could part of the 12 tribes with the ships of the navy have landed and made a port city at cornwall, untill moses called for them all to join in the fight for the land of milk and honey,
Is not interesting when one reads the bible regarding the exudus and the time in the wilderness, that there are so many maratime references, to whales and sea horses and things that directly deal with the ocean.

ps -- and could it be the brass snake on a pole mad by the tribe of dan, for moses, to heal the people who had been bitten by snakes in the desert.
which came to be know as the healing pole, -- even jesus mention s it when he say s just as the snake on the pole looked evil, so to i will hang from a tree and look guilty, but all who look upon me shall be healed.
could it be that it was healing poles such as this, that the tribe of dan made all over westeren ireland, in 400 ad , when saint patrick 1st saw them as a 16 year old taken hostage by king o neal and his men, that caused him to think
that all these people in ireland were kneeling in front of brass likeness,s of snakes on poles
that made him later come back and go on a crusade
to throw them all into the sea. Thank you for taking the time to compile this work. Some of us read it. I am working on writing a book on Joseph of Aremathia. There are so few good references. On my quest for the truth I have found some interesting information regarding Herod Antipatros and his proximitiy to the bronze (tin) trade. Herod (Jr.) was the tetrarch of Galillee. He had built a cache of weapons and armor for 7 legions, and hidden them. This was the ruler who questioned Jesus in addition to Pilate. Joseph's primary trading port would have been Haifa, in Galillee. History is richer and more interesting than most would believe. The context in which Jesus lived is important because it reveals nuances that were understood in his day, but have been lost with the destruction of his context.
Again, thank you.

Forney, Texas When I was a child about 4 or 5 years old I had a dream that has stayed with me until today of aged 56 years old now.
I lived in southern California then in the LA vicinity not sure the exact town.
My dream began on the beach where a mermaid came out of the ocean and came to me on the beach.
As dreams are it went from one strange thing to others.
Today still not sure what the dream meant.
But, one very evident thing about the dream was we used a device that today looks like a microwave oven.
Back then it was not invented yet.
I remember asking her if she wanted her fish broiled, baked, fried, or etc...
I continue to seek answers about the dream and to learn more about mermaids.
