Ok, now that you know what part of the globe to look, the image above will show you where my hometown is.
Marystown was originally named Mortier Bay, the name is still so for the bay itself. A Roman Catholic Priest named it Marystown and a statue of the Virgin Mary was erected on the hill that is the top if the valley that the town nestles in.
The capital city of St. John's, one of my most favorite cities, is about 300 KM NEE from Marystown.
