How original is this bands' name, which bears myriad negotiable translations thus creates a harder metaphorical association attempting to gain anything concrete? One must decipher their own meaning for "Vålnad ur Rymd". As for myself I consider Kheeroth' s translation which turned out to be quite interesting, that being "Spirit out of Emptiness", the closest to justification. Seeing as I cannot speak Swedish, heh I have no vote...
The dormant Vålnad ur Rymd consists of 5 members, who' s introduction really needs none as most off the guys have marked their unholy presence elsewhere. They being Kheeroth (Midvinter) , Thorn (Blot Mine), Zathanel (Blot Mine, Midvinter, Sorhin) , Steriil Vwreede and some unknown guy who' s name embarrassingly slips my mind at this present time. As you can see, the members and bands unite together as one eventually as did Ophthalamia, Marduk and Dissection.
Their history isn't the most stable around. The 1st line up started out in '95 which unfortunately only ended up with some problems which in return resulted with silence falling upon their camp for a few years, but there is a rehearsal recording lurking around somewhere and you would be considered lucky to grab a copy off it. I am still trying to find a copy so for that loss I cannot write as much as I wish to about this band. Even so... there is enough material for record a demo at least, but with the exception of the members with side projects, this has been put on hold for a while. The band' s lyrical structure focus and support ALL actions that end up with someone dying which obviously means they revolve around death someway or another. Taking into consideration some song titles off theirs : "Hat till liv döljs i åtrå till de döda"/Hate towards life lies hidden in desire for the dead" and "Som en skugga med bud om död"/As a shadow with a message about death". Sounds disturbing? You can thank main songwriter Steriil Vwreede for that.
Eternal Hails go before Kheeroth for supplying me with all of the above info. Straight from the source itself, how could I go wrong...?
