Mark the center of each even weave square (around the edges only) lengthwise and widthwise with a line of basting stitches.

The center of each diagram is indicated by black arrows which should coincide with the basting stitches.

The design is worked throughout in satin stitch and straight stitch.

Commence the embroidery in the center of one corner of the afghan following diagram A and key to diagram. Repeat diagram three more times, one in each of the corner squares.

Complete the afghan by working diagram B round the edge in each of the three remaining squares between the corners on each side following diagram B and key to diagram.

To Complete

On completion of embroidery, press lightly on wrong side. Following manufacturer's instructions, fringe the afghan as desired.
