These make great small decorations to put on the table or throughout the house for the big event. You can also write guests' names on the top and use them as placeholders.

Materials:

Cut an old egg carton into 12 single cups. Cut the cardboard into 12 4x4-inch squares. Paint both sides of the cardboard and the outside of the egg cups your graduate's school colors, or just plain black or white. Once the paint has dried, place a dab of glue in the center of each cardboard square and attach an egg cup with the opening facing upwards. Cut the yarn or ribbon into 4-inch to represent tassels. When the glue is dry, turn the caps over and glue an end of a yarn piece to the center of each square.
