Wild West Valentine Wagon

Our Wild West Valentine Wagon is a great way for your little buckeroo to collect the Valentines they receive from their friends. But it's so cute, you might want to fill it with Valentine candy and put it out on a table for family and guests to enjoy.

WHAT YOU NEED

1 shoe box
Red and white gingham fabric
1 sheet of white craft foam*
1 sheet of red craft foam*
Fabric glue*
SWEETARTS Hearts and NESTLÉ SPREE Hearts in Treat Size Bags and BUTTERFINGER BB's in Fun Size Bags & 1 6 oz. bag of SPREE Hearts
2 - 7 3/4-inch dowel rods
4 - 1/2 inch wide, 6-inch diameter foam disks
1 narrow red ribbon
*available at craft or fabric stores

HOW TO DO IT

Remove the lid from the shoebox. Cover the bottom portion with red and white gingham fabric, gluing it on the insides of the box to secure it.
Attach the white craft foam over the top of the box, creating the domed cover and glue to the insides of the box to secure.
Put each dowel rod through 2 foam disks.
Glue the middle of the dowel rods to the bottom of the box.
Glue red SPREE Hearts to the outsides of the foam wheels to create the spokes.
Glue the red ribbon to the front of the box. Glue a white SPREE Heart to the other end of the ribbon.
Glue white SPREE Hearts around the top of the shoe box as a trim.
Decorate the cover of the wagon with red fun foam. Your child can cut out hearts or letters to spell out their name.
Fill with Valentine cards and Treat Size Bags of SWEETARTS, SPREE, and Fun Size Bags of BUTTERFINGER BB's.

TIPS

Let the wagon dry overnight.

FOLLOW UP FUN

After Valentine's Day, your child can use the wagon to store small toys.

All activities should be parent supervised. Parents, please make sure that the tools and items needed for a project are appropriate for your child.
