Plazma's Nintendo Place
This is a very good site with a lot of information. It has an excellent presentation and the layout is as clean as possible. Some may find it to be bare-bones since it doesn't have any humor, but the webmaster's target audience isn't the casual player. It's for the hardcore NES collecter and it couldn't be better. I give much support to this site because it shows more promise than most new pages out there. Visit it and see how hard it is not to return.
The Old-School Gamer
I really like this site for being a fresh, new site. It really does capture the old-school gamer feel and executes quite nicely for a newbie site. The frames are kind of a hindrance but the webmaster writes with such enthusiam and wit that its hard not to make a return visit.
NES Classics Archive
This is a good site that, in part, I helped get started. I like to see that the webmaster has a good enough memory to recognize that. I recommend this site highly, as it is filled with information every young 8-bit head needs.
Quizzle's NES Page
Loads of info and humor abound in this very well put together site. This one deserves repeat visits, as it updated more frequently than most. Kudos to Quizzle and the fine job he has done on his page.
Nintendo Nuts
A quirky Finnish site that has info on the Nintendo and the Game & Watch Gallery games, this is another good one that deserves a look. I like this site for its original layout and presentation.
TSR's NES Archive
Though this site is nearly never updated, TSR has done a great job on the site over the years. He is the world's foremost authority on Famicom and pirate titles and has a vast collection of weird Nintendo-related stuff.
NES World
A great site with information out the wazoo. There is very little humor, though, and if you're looking for a laugh, this is probably not it. All negatives aside, this site is great if you're looking for anything pertaining to the NES.
Nintendo Information Insemination
Another Finnish site with just a pinch of humor. This one was started before Nintendo Nuts and continues to be one of the greats. It has a wealth of information on specialty subjects such as pirate carts and other unlicensed material. Check it out for yourself.
Spikezz Junkyard
This isn't a NES site, but rather a site owned by one of my friends. It is a great, new site about Japanese anime. The webmaster draws and uploads his own pictures for your enjoyment. As far as anime sites go, this one has the potential to be big.
Emperor Nakoo's NES Dungeon
Though the webmaster seems like a nice person, I can't really recommend this site. There are some rather humorous things but the layout and presentation are VERY clunky. It takes a while to get used to Nakoo's style and some may just never get used to it. With a few presentation, graphical, and HTML fixes, this site could be one of the better ones on the net.
