I post this just to tell any newcomer, who want to apply an Calif. ID card and can't find anyone to drive him to the DMV, that you can go to there by bike! It's not very far, and the time you spend on the way will be less than 1hr. However, it's not a leissure trip, because you should climb a hill. There ar two DMV near UCR: the one at 6280 Brockton Ave.(maybe the way to this one is flatter) and the one at 6235 Rivercrest Dr. #10-R. I chose the latter because I found the driving distance to it is 4.9 miles from Yahoo(6.7 miles to the Brockton one) and it opens on Saturday. For me today, it takes me about 45 min to go to the DMV(I have to stop frequently to look at map for direction) and only 15 min to go back. It takes me about 1 hr in the DMV, becuase there are always lots of people, even at work days. For ID card you only need bring your passport and $6. You will be required to fill a simple form(SSN needed) and take your photograph. Here is the direction to the Rivercrest DMV: Big Springs -->(turn right)Watkins Dr ---->(pass under a bridge)central->(immediately turn left) Sycamore Canyon(Cyn)--(pass Fair Isle)-->(turn left, there is small sign, don't go down the hill)Box Springs -->(turn left)Rivercrest--(pass railroad)-->DMV(on your left)
Finally, I want to thank those people who tried to help me.
