Dear fellow students and scholars,

When using money here for the first time, whether it's a $100 bill or a penny, you might find the statement on it: "In God We Trust". What does it mean?

Facing all these "cultural shocks", we are trying to find out what's the most foundamental difference, how to adjust ourselves and move on.

Further, more of us may ask, deep within, what leads me here? from one place to another? from one field to another? where am I in my life? and, where is my home?

------------------------------------ We are a group of people, who found final satisfaction in this home and became witnesses of God, including Christian students, researchers and faculty members at UCR, and among the Chinese-speaking ones, most are from Mainland China.

We are very glad that this year, more new students come to Riverside, a land of "living water of life", almost double that of last year and four times that of fall 1997. Instead of taking new friends to mountain retreat as past years, we are holding a series of Gospel meetings on campus first. Just like after tasting a delicious dish, we want our best friends to have a good taste too, we are eager to share with you our experience of studying, working and living here, and invite you to the feast.

The first one will be this coming Saturday, 9/16 afternoon The schedule is: when what where ------------------------------------ 5:30-7:00p dinner homes ------------------------------------ 7:30-9:30p Hymns Int'l Lounge, fellowships (commons) free sharing ------------------------------------ If you are willing to come to have dinner with us, please email me back before Saturday noon time so i can arrange the home and transportation for you. If you want to find the International Lounge by yourself, it's within the commons area, next to Cafeteria, facing the Bell Tower.

my home phone number is 369-3573.

"...Come! And let him who hears say, Come! And let him who is thirsty come; let him who wills take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17)
