Post is an explosive righthanded hitter who thrives in key situations. During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. He doesn't perform well against right-handed pitching. His strength is in the gaps.

Baserunning & Defense
Though he managed to record his share of assists, his arm is just average. Post is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2004 Outlook
In one full big league season, Post already has done more than what scouts projected when he came out of college.
