Citan is Fei's doctor and personal guardian and friend. His past is a mystery, as he seems to know a lot more about the outside world then most do. Citan was with Fei throughout the tragedy at Lahan, and was the only one who remained his friend.
Citan begins the quest weaponless, but soon acquires a deadly sword.
Heimdal, to be perfectly blunt, sucks. This is the only reason not to use Citan early in the game. Later, though, when he gets his omnigear, he is a definite must-have party member.
