Winner of the "Worst Game Ever" award.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is by far the worst game I have ever played. The battles are terrible, the almost nonexistent story is dumb, the characters (though you only control two at a time) are bland, and the menu and magic systems are crap. Don't play this game unless you are an absolute Final Fantasy fanatic or you're just really bored. Though I have to admit the funky techno soundtrack kicked ass, but I guess music is just something Squaresoft can't screw up.
