Replacing your 968's Radio
I don't know about you, but the first thing I wanted to do when I got
my new 968 was to replace that crappy CR-1 radio/cassette. If you've ever
replaced a car stereo before then you should have no problems. The 968
stereo is a tight fit however and tends to get quite hot which affects
my units ability to play CD-R's. Anyway if you want to tackle this job
yourself, I've got copies of the 968 radio wiring diagram. The diagram
is in three parts, Left Centre and Right all zipped up (in GIF format)
in this file (1.2MB). One point you might like
to note is that the wiring diagram shows a security connection. This was
not connected on my car so didn't cause me any problems, however if it
is connected in your car, I was told you simply need to ground the wire.
I couldn't verify this so if your alarm goes off after installing your
new radio, then you may have to un-ground that wire.
