*WhY LeT tHe TeArS oF ToDaY SteAL tHe SuNsHiNE Of ToMoRRoW?!* -------------------------------------------------------------- The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tyre made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked towards the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterward he walked me to the car. As we passed the tree, my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier. "Oh that's my trouble tree", he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again. "Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick them, there ain't nearly as many as I remembered hanging up the night before". ****************** Morale of the story 1) Always Smile & The Whole World Will Smile With You Too!!! 2) Do not bring your work problems home. 3) Tomorrow is another day it will bring new opportunities, as long as you have given your best for the day, you have peace of mind. The Rhythm in music and life may hold the final key to the Understanding of the universe.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Something to remember always ------------------------------- In a university commencement address several years ago, Brian Dyson, CEO of Coca Cola Enterprises, spoke of the relation of work to one's other commitments: "Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit and you're keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls-family, health, friends and spirit-are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life."
