"Setsuna is the only one of all the Senshi who's out of
high school... in fact, she might actually be centuries old! She sure doesn't look it, though - Setsuna
is one of the most beautiful people I've ever seen. She's always so graceful and in control of herself that it
can be easy to mistake her for being cold or uncaring. Actually, she's very compassionate, and especially
loves her adopted daughter Hotaru and her little friend Chibi-Usa, who she calls "Small Lady". As the Senshi of
Pluto, Setsuna's duty is to guard the Gates of Time, and protect the entire timestream from being disrupted! She
spends an awful lot of time by herself, off protecting the Gates, and I suppose she was getting kind of lonely
before Chibi-Usa showed up and made friends with her. We don't see Setsuna too often, unless something seriously
wrong is happening, and she needs us to help her stop it! Usually, she just goes about doing her own thing, and
we've all learned not to ask too many questions. Whatever her job is, she's obviously doing it, so who are
we to complain? Personally, I just wish she'd bother explaining things to us a little better, sometimes..."

As Sailor Pluto, Setsuna possesses total mastery
over the element of time itself. She has control over the Gates of Time, and can not only travel
through time herself, but send others backwards or forwards through time. She is also capable of making
all time travel impossible, by closing the Gates of Time, and can cause time to freeze, although these
last two powers are strongly frowned upon, and their use has been forbidden by Queen Serenity. The punishment
for using these powers is either banishment or death. Setsuna also has several magical attacks, and wields
the Time-Space Key, which she can use as a fighting staff.

Setsuna Meioh is the Sailor Senshi of the planet Pluto. In Roman
mythology, Pluto was the god of the dead, and dwelled alone in the Underworld, tending to the souls of the deceased.
In the Sailor Moon manga, Setsuna has a much larger role than in the anime, and lives with her fellow Outer
Senshi in a large mansion by the sea, helping Haruka and Michiru raise Hotaru. Also, the Setsuna in the manga is
twenty years old, and was reincarnated with the other Senshi, while the anime Setsuna is ageless, and has existed for millenia.

Setsuna Meioh's japanese voice actor, or seiyuu, was
Chiyoko Kawashima. Kawashima is also known for her roles in other popular anime, such as Kei Yuuki in
Sayonara, Galaxy Express 999, Rin's Mother in Please Save My Earth, Geist in Saint Seiya,
Maru and Kei Yuuki in Captain Harlock, and Hikaru's Mother in Kimagure Orange Road,
as well as Haruna Sakurada and Shingo Tsukino in Sailor Moon.

In the english dub of Sailor Moon, the role of "Trista Meioh"
is played at first by Sabrina Grdevich. Sabrina was also the voices of Ann Granger and the Luna-Ball for
Sailor Moon. She has also performed live in shows such as Traders. |
In the Sailor Moon S season, the role of Sailor Pluto was given to Susan
Aceron. At this time, there is no information concerning other roles that Susan may have performed available.
