Shinji Ikari, Pilot of Evangelion unit 01
    He is the son of Gendo Ikari, and the Thrid Children.  He is the main
character of the series.  He really doesn't want to be a pilot, but he feels that he must prove himself to his father  and everyone else.  Unit 01 is one of the most volitile.  Sometimes, it goes berserk and does things on it's own.  Shinji and Unit 01 togeather are the most powerful and dependable team that NERV has.  BACK

Rei Ayanami, Pilot of Evangelion unit 00
Rei is the mysterious First Children.  No one really knows too much about Rei except that she has been with NERV since the begining.  She is very aloof and doesn't interact with others unless necessairy.  Unit 00 is the first of the Evangelion units.  it is not as powerful as Unit 01, nor has had as much success.  BACK

Asuka Langley Sohryu, Pilot of Evangelion unit 02
Asuka is the undisputed "bad-ass" of the Eva pilots.  She is the second children.  She is from Germany, where Unit 02 was built.  She is super-competitive, espically when she is going against Shinji.  She is loud-mouthed and extremely cocky.  She and Unit 02 make a very powerful(see the movie End of Evangelion) yet unpredictible team.  Unit 02 is supposed to be the production model of Evangelions.  BACK
