Located 2 miles north of Comanche. Across the Highway 81 from Historical marker, Military Road. Section 17 T25 R7W. Canvassed by Mrs. Frankie Garrison Followill, Mrs. Waneta O'Haver Green, Mrs. Phyllis Hack McMicheal, Mrs. Myldred Compton Lankford and Mrs. Muriel Teel Cooter. 
Sections IV and V was canvassed during a rain storm. There are about 1650 graves in Fairlawn (Old) Cemetery with headstones or native rocks for a marker. 
Approximately 1,648 graves marked with a stone, funeral home markers ornative rock stones. There are more graves there without any type of markers in the Old Fairlawn Cemetery.
