Michael & Crystal aided the cause by donating all the tuna they could get their hands on -- but it wasn't easy. "The market didn't want to sell us all their tuna because they wouldn't have any left for their other customers," Sabatino explains. However, once the chaming actor told the clerk where the tuna was going, the market gladly relented.

Crystal can now officially be dubbed an "L.A. Woman" thanks to the gift she received on her birthday Aug. 4. Crystal, who happened to be working that day, was whisked off the NBC studio lot on her lunch hour by beau and cast mate Michael and two friends. "They took me to the garage where my car was parked and handed me my keys," says Crystal, who immediately opened the door to discover Michael and company had secretly installed a security alarm and a car phone. "I was totally taken by surprise," she says. And she was delighted with both her gifts. "The car phone makes me feel very L.A...like I've been baptized," she laughs. Meanwhile, back at the Days complex gifts continued to pour in for the actress from adoring fans across the country. "They sent me flowers and ballons," says Crystal. "My dressing room was very festive." ~Soap Opera Weekly-9/1/92~
