On his way to his mother's waiting car, Hamilton passed Finn walking in the opposite direction. He averted his eyes to the side of the walkway and hoped Finn didn't notice him.
However, Finn did notice. "Hey, Hamilton, just a minute." Finn stopped directly in front of Hamilton and Hamilton had no choice but to look at him. He tried to keep his nervousness from showing. "Hey, Finn, what can I do for you?"
"Have you seen Jake around? Did he leave for home yet?" Hamilton instantly tensed, but tried to keep his cool. "Yeah, he left a few days ago to visit his mom or something. Why?"
Finn shrugged, and looked back at the papers in his hand. "Just curious, I guess. I haven't seen him since..." with that, Finn looked directly at Hamilton. Hamilton felt like throwing up.
"Since the...the bathroom thing?" Hamilton said, visibly wincing. Finn, surprisingly enough, smiled and nodded. "Yeah, what was going on there, anyway? I had some pillow feathers in my eyes, and couldn't really see anything. All I heard was "Finn!", and then a lot of motion as someone went running out of the room. That was Jake, wasn't it?"
Hamilton, feeling slightly hopeful that maybe Finn didn't know too much, had to nod. "Yeah, we were getting ready to shower. NOT together, though. No way." Hamilton shut his mouth. He was never good in this kinds of situations. Hamilton's mom honked the horn, and Hamilton turned to leave.
Finn gave his a strange look. "Of course not. But why did Jake go running out of the room?" Finn glanced at the waiting car and waved, and Kate waved back. Then she motioned to Hamilton.
"Uhh, he's just shy I guess. Look, if that's all you need, I gotta go. I'm supposed to catch a train to go see Ja---My aunt."
"Oh, alright, have fun Hamilton. See you and Jake next session." With that, Finn turned and continued walking down the path, seemingly unconcerned.
Hamilton let out a huge sigh of relief. Boy, would Jake be glad to hear this news! Finn had really no idea! With much higher spirits, Hamilton jogged to his mom's car.

Hamilton looked at his watch for the fourth time. The train was supposed to be here ten minutes ago! Angry, he trudged over to the ticket window and demanded to know why the train was late.
"Look, young man, I don't know how often you ride the train system, but trains are rarely on time. The 9:00 is due anytime now, just be patient." The lady in the ticket window, who was wearing way too much blue eyeshadow, returned to her magazine and ignored Hamilton's look of exasperation.
Just as Hamilton was about to say something not so friendly, he heard a train coming down the tracks. He grabbed his bag and rushed to the loading platform.
When he was settled in his seat, with his baggage stowed overhead, he thought about the next three days, the three days his parents were expecting him to spend with his Aunt Pam, but were actually three days of what he hoped would be the best time he had had in a long time.
He was going to see Jake! Sure, it had only been four days since Jake had left, but it seemed like an eternity. Four days with nothing to do but think about her really didn't pass very quickly.
However, the train ride did pass fairly quickly, and before he knew it, Hamilton was standing outside the NYC train station, looking around for the car Jake said would be waiting to take him to her house.
He spotted the black Mercedes, and jogged over. He couldn't see anyone but the driver because of the tinted windows, but all of a sudden the back door opened and Jake flew out of the car and into his arms.
They hugged, holding on to each other tightly, and then kissed passionately. Aware that they had the attention of the majority of the parking lot, they laughed and jumped into the back seat of the car.
Hamilton settled in next to Jake, and gave her another quick kiss before saying, "Hey boy." Jake giggled girlishly, and said, "Hey yourself."
Staring at each other intently, they both leaned in for another kiss and would have kept going had the driver not cleared his throat.
Smiling, Jake introduced Hamilton to the driver, Alfred. "He's been our driver for almost five years. He's great. Alfred, this is my boyfriend, Hamilton." Hamilton looked at her when she said 'boyfriend', and smiled widely. He kissed her on the cheek and she smiled back.
"So, how did you two meet? You seem to know each other quite well." Alfred smiled, and started to pull out of the parking lot and onto the crowded NYC streets.
Jake hesitated, and then said, "We met at Rawley. I went to Rawley Girls, and he went to the main campus, Rawley Boys. We met at a mixer there. We've been dating almost three months now." Hamilton thought that was a good story, and not too far from the truth. They had met at Rawley...
"And your mother doesn't mind his staying at the house?" Alfred looked skeptical, and Jake reassured him that her mother knew and trusted her to be mature.
"Besides", she said, "Consuela was there to be sure we don't get "rowdy", as mom so eloquently put it." Hamilton looked disappointed, and Jake whispered to him, "But she isn't always around..." That cheered him up considerably.
They spent the rest of the car ride planning their next couple of days, and when they finally reached the beautiful, manicured estate, in the suburbs of NYC, they were both starving and ready for lunch.
