Deepa Nair, an engineering graduate from Srichithra Engineering College, Trivandrum, Kerala is not a new face to the Kerala Audience. She has hosted several programmes in Asianet and made her debut through the average Malayalam flick "Priyam", co-starring Kunchacko Boban.
Excerpts from her interview before her wedding to another engineer, based in Singapore and job with Infosys
Were you interested in acting.....
I was interested in acting. The fear of my engineering studies being affected discouraged my father, Gopalakrishnan to allow me join films. But Vipin Mohan, Bhagya Raj, Sanal , Sab John spoke to my father and thus, I made my debut through "Priyam".
Acting experience........
I didnot have much of a problem in acting, since i was guided by Sanal sir and Vipin Mohan. But filmi dance bothered me a lot in the beginning. The style is very different from normal classical dance, especially when it came to fast steps.
