Well
I continued to walk around with the hope of seeing "my" guy, but it seemed
it wasn't in the cards. Then all of a sudden... I see a guy in a "green"
shirt (all the G4 workers had on green shirts) walking with someone. And
guess who that someone was??? Yep, if you guessed James Horan you are correct.
I just happened to be standing in the right place at the right time I guess.
Well
we made eye contact, he smiled and said "Hi". I smiled and said "Hi" right
back to him. I also started walking toward him as he was going toward the
big round table in the middle of that area. I went over to him and said...
"You know I have been looking for you, I did a drawing of you and I wanted
you to see it." He said something like, "Oh really, is it the one that
is on the internet?" Well let me tell you, I thought I was going to pass
out. heeheehee... But luckily I didn't. I just got this really huge smile
on my face and said "Yes, and I was wondering if you would sign it for
me?" He said something like "Sure, where is it?" Well I had it in
my Highlander backpack, but was having trouble getting it out... you see
I was a bit nervous. :-) He stopped at the round table, but I was
stumbling around trying to get it out of my backpack. He said he was going
to go into the room (pointing to the PEACE room) and he would sign it there.
I looked at him and said "You mean I will have to wait in that long line?"
The line was around the corner and to the escalator and steps. I really
didn't want to do that. He said "Well that's the Highlander Store isn't
it?" I spoke up, "No, the Highlander store is down that hallway." So he
said that he was going to be signing stuff in the Highlander store, so
I walked with him down there. *I'm still trying to catch my breath* There
was already a line forming of people who wanted to get his autograph, but
I was with the Man himself. I just followed behind him until I got to his
signing table, put my backpack on the floor and got my drawing out. He
walked around the room until he got to his seat behind the table. By then
the drawing was out. He looked at the drawing and smiled. I told him that
I had a copy for him, if he wanted it... he replied something like... "That
would be great. I really like it." *breath girl, breath* I handed him the
drawing and he signed... To
Kathi with love and thanks! James Horan. He
asked if it was Kathi with an "i" and I said "Yeah, how did you know?"
(See, I was wondering why he would say that, did he "know" me?) He laughed
and said something like, "Well it's written right here." Boy did I feel
stupid. I forgot that I had signed the drawing, and right there it was
K a t h i .... Oh well, I guess I am entitled to being a bit nervous, right?
I reminded him that during his Q & A when he was talking about his
voice and doing voice-overs and then he paused... well you know me, it's
quiet and I just had to say what was on my mind, so I yelled out from the
6th row... It's a Sexy Voice. He just laughed. Then Peter Hudson said something
like, "Did you notice a pause when he said that, he wanted someone to say
something." So I guess it had to be me. lol
James
also saw the pin that I had made of the drawing with #1 James Horan Fan
written on it. He said he liked that. I told him that I had a card made
up that looked just like it, but if he wanted the pin, he could have it.
He took the card and I jokingly told him that my friends had told me that
I should put my name, address and phone number on the back of it. Boy was
I tempted, heeheehee... He smiled then asked where I was from and I told
him Pittsburgh. I told him that he should bring his act to Pittsburgh,
as I would love to see him there. Who knows, maybe he will. I can hope
right?
I
then talked to Charl, the girl in charge of his fan club. She told me that
the fan club was supposed to meet at the bar around 6:30 for drinks. I
couldn't wait for that to happen. |
