Eleven Colorado Shooting Victims Hospitalized

DENVER (Reuters) - A 17-year-old, whose limp and bloody body dangling from a Columbine High School window during a shooting rampage horrified television viewers, remained in serious condition Saturday, paralyzed on his right side.

Patrick Ireland was shot in the brain by one of two student gunmen who opened fire on fellow students and teachers at the Littleton, Colorado, school Tuesday, killing 13 before turning the guns on themselves.

Gripping television images aired during Tuesday's drama showed Ireland tumbling out of a broken window like a limp doll as paramedics struggled to catch him. Rescuers at first thought his name was ``Rich'' because Ireland could not get the word ''Patrick'' out when asked his name.

Doctors at Centura St. Anthony Central Hospital said Ireland suffered from stroke-like symptoms on the right side of his body and may never regain full use of his right side.

Centura spokeswoman Carol Golas said Saturday Ireland remained in serious condition.
