Information Officer position

Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC)

The Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center (AVRDC), an international research institute headquartered in Taiwan, is searching for an information officer.

Qualifications:
The candidate should possess an advanced degree and at least five years of experience in science writing/editing and desktop publishing, as well as some experience managing websites. Experience writing for a donor/policymaker audience would be considered an important asset.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will 1) develop the Center's communication strategy and activities; 2) prepare public awareness materials directed at donors and stakeholders; 3) edit research outputs and project proposals produced by the Center's scientific staff; and 4) mobilize office colleagues in creating quality communication and publication products.

Compensation:
The compensation package includes annual salary (tax-free) commensurate with qualifications and experience, pension plan, insurance, free housing on an attractive campus, free use of a car, and annual home leave travel.
