Senior Advisor, PCS

CEDPA, a nonprofit international organization dedicated to empowering women, has an immediate opening for a Senior Advisor, Population Communication Services (PCS) located in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Incumbent represents CEDPA as one of four subcontractors in a USAID-funded project awarded to the Center for Communication Programs/ Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.  Works with PCS team to develop effective programs to promote family planning, reproductive health, and related activities.  Incumbent will take the lead on integrating gender into the PCS project and in the development and refinement of tools to do so. Special emphasis will be on community mobilization and capacity building to enhance NGO networks abilities to impact behavior change.  Masters in public health, social sciences, or other relevant field, minimum eight years experience in international development programs working in the areas of gender, community mobilization, BCC, advocacy, training design and delivery.  Knowledge of reproductive health issues is essential, as is field level experience in Africa and/or Asia.  International travel will be required.
