Duration of assignment: 6 months, starting September 2001

No. of persons required: Two

Remuneration: Rs. 20,000 p.m.

Expected qualification and experience: Master’s degree in NRM, Sociology, Rural Development

Experience of having worked in the area of participatory aspects of community forestry, social forestry and/or joint forest management for at least 5 years;

S/he should have experience of institutional development. Fluency in Hindi and English is expected.

Nature of assignment: S/he would be required to work closely with the Forest Department, and assist at various levels in the implementation of participatory project processes including micro-planning, constitution and capacity building of village level community institutions.
