EUROPEAN PROJECT DIRECTOR

Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios S.A. is a big Spanish consulting company specialised in rural development, natural resources management and environment.

We are currently preparing a tender for the project “Creating Sensitivity and Educating on Environment at local level and in selected basins of El Salvador”, financed by the European Commission.

Period of Project: 10 / 2001 - 09 / 2004

Duration of Assignment: 36 month

Location: San Miguel (El Salvador)

 

Project Description:

The project has the aim to improve the population's knowledge and concern on the sustainable management of river basins and natural resources in pilot areas, by means of an integral action  (theoretical / practical): environmental education; strengthening of the local authorities capability for prevention and mitigation of natural disasters and for the management of basins, and stimulation of the communities' participation in the organisation of activities; dissemination and analysis of similar  experiences at regional and local level.

 

We are seeking for an European Project Director:

Job Description: Typical tasks of team leading  (project-management and co-ordination, elaboration of  plans etc .

 

Qualifications required:

Nationality of an EU member state. Excellent knowledge of Spanish. University degree in/or related to environmental sciences. More than 15 years of professional experience in the field of watershed management, natural resource management, soil conservation, agro-forestry. At least 4 years experience as team leader or co-director in projects with budget > 5 Million euros. At least 4 years experience in Latin America (preferably in Central America)
