Frontier-Madagascar and Frontier-Tanzania Projects, Logistics Managers

Required to oversee the logistical and administrative aspects of the field camp.  This will involve overall supervision of the field budgets, camp resources and equipment, and overall responsibility for the general welfare of all staff and volunteers on camp.  He/she will also be required to manage local Frontier employees such as cooks and camp guards to produce the expedition, logistics, medical and vehicle reports to the schedule agreed with the London based Operations Manager.  One year contracts, starting May/June 2001.

  Applicants must be educated to degree level with an interest in conservation issues, experience of group leading and basic accounting/administration, possess proven organisational skills and First Aid qualification.  Knowledge of French (for Madagascar) and experience of working in the tropics advantageous.  The candidate must also possess proven written and organisational skills and high attention to detail.
