Impact  Associates intends to submit a tender to deliver a Senior Management Leadership Program (SMLP) for Levels 5-7 of the East Timorese Transitional Administration (ETTA) commencing in August 2001 in Dili, East Timor and running for a period of 18-20 weeks approximately. 

The SMLP will be delivered to 500 senior East Timorese civil servants over a total of 4 days each, with further specific programs tailored for departmental or unit heads, district officers and women.

 The SMLP will cover –

  1. Roles and responsibilities of public sector leaders

 

  1. Managing yourself

·        Leadership styles/self awareness.

·        Setting high levels of management performance.

·        Setting and meeting work priorities.

·        Making informed decisions/decision models.

·        Communicating decisions/information.

 

  1. Leading and managing others

·        Developing team cooperation and participation.

·        Managing and developing team performance.

·        Exploring supervision models.

·        Gathering information and listening to the team.

 

This Leadership Program is to have the following salient features –

Training Coordinator

Trainers (3)

Interpreters/Translators (4)

 

Preferred nationality – New Zealand, Australian or East Timorese.
