HPG requires a Research Fellow to strengthen and contribute to the group’s Aid Policy, Politics and Principles research programme. This is an opportunity for the postholder to develop their own research interests in the humanitarian field, to carry out commissioned advisory and evaluation work, and to be part of a dynamic team. Essential skills and experience for the post include: a postgraduate qualification to at least Masters level; a minimum of five years’ relevant experience of humanitarian issues, including operational experience; proven ability to engage with policy-makers and field practitioners; evidence of ability to attract funding for policy/research work; experience of team working and excellent written and oral communication skills. Salary: Universities’ Research Scales; Range IA (£18,909 - £27,347), or II (£25,390 - £33,101), or III (£31,466 - £41,852), including London weighting.
