Performance Monitoring Framework Analyst Specialist

Papua New Guinea HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT PROGRAM (HSSP)

The PNG HSSP is funded by the Australian Government and is managed by a Consortium of IDP Education Australia, GRM International Pty Ltd and Jane Thomason and Associates.

This long term Program aims to improve the health of the population of PNG.  While some Program activities will be nation-wide, there will be an initial intensive focus on six provinces of Western, Gulf, Central, Western Highlands, Morobe and Sandaun.  A multi-disciplinary team of qualified and experienced professionals is needed to work with the PNG Department of Health, Provincial and District Governments to implement this Program.

At present we are seeking applicants for the position of Performance Monitoring Framework Analyst Specialist, a short term (4x1month over 2 years) position based in Port Moresby.

The successful candidate will have post graduate qualifications in public health, biostatistics, health information or a related discipline, experience in the manipulation and use of spreadsheets and experience in the presentation and manipulation of data.

  They must also demonstrate a willingness to travel to Program Provinces, sometimes under difficult circumstances.

Terms of Reference:

§           Travel to PNG on a six monthly basis to extract the information required to assess performance of Program Provinces and NDOH against the Performance Monitoring Framework (PMF) Indicators;

§           Where data is unavailable at the National level, travel to Program Provinces, and manually extract the information required to assess provincial performance against the PMF;

§           Prepare the Provincial Performance information in an agreed format for review by the NDOH, Provinces and the Sector Monitoring and Review Group.
