PROGRAM MANAGER-NAMPULA 

Save the Children, an international relief and development agency, seeks a Program Manager to ensure project activities in Nampula province are implemented according to timelines, agreed budgets and standards as expected by donors and SC technical personnel.  S/he supervises Nampula-based staff, provides management support, oversees recruitment/orientation of new personnel, and ensures administrative systems are in operation.  In collaboration with the Field Office Director, designs program directions, assists with development of funding proposals and represents SC to government officials, community leaders and NGO representatives. 

Masters degree in public health, international development or relevant field plus minimum 5 years' overseas management experience in development programming.  Strong background in managing health programs, particularly child survival activities.  Familiarity with USAID regulations and grant compliance, experience managing budgets and proven ability to write proposals.  Fluency in Portuguese and English.
