Director- Myanmar Field Office

Save the Children

Save the Children, an international relief and development agency, seeks a Field Office Director (FOD).  S/he is responsible for the administration, fiscal management, and grant management of the Myanmar Field Office assuring quality, impact and cost effectiveness of the program.  Responsibilities include strategic planning providing leadership and direction for the program;  developing and designing plans to meet funding and programming needs;  establishing and maintaining working relationships with host government authorities, donors, partner agencies and local NGOs;  financial and grant management ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures;  and monitoring and evaluation ensuring measurement of achievement toward project goals. 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree required, with a Master's Degree preferred in an appropriate discipline.  Minimum 10 years' experience in the management of development programs in Asia desirable with experience in program design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.  Past management of United Nations and corporate grants and contracts is essential.  Experience overseeing accounting, budget preparation, financial projections and successful fundraising.  Demonstrated skills in supervision, training and management of international and national staff. 

Fluency in written and spoken English.  Willingness to travel internationally and within Myanmar.
