      SME Specialist

Incumbent will work with staff of Project’s local offices to identify specific interventions (products) to bring about tangible and realizable benefits in enterprises; lead and assist other Project staff in the design, development and refinement of the interventions, scheduling S/T technical assistance to supplement the product design including:

· Business decision making process

· Manufacturing process (to improve quality, quantity and price)

· Enterprise strategies leading towards or increasing profitability.

· Improved value-chains for each of the selected industries

S/He will coordinate the implementation of the interventions with local Business Service Providers (using the BSP specialist) and local regional Project office staff supplemented with other S/T TA; and efficiently manage the integration of other Project activities (Legal and Regulatory; Business Service Providers, Association Building, Access to Capital and PE) for effective enterprise improvements.

    Financial Business Service Provider

Incumbent will design and to develop suitable financial products that are appropriate for the enterprises / industries in which the project is currently involved. S/He will match the borrowers needs with suitable lending institutions and bring the two parties together to implement formal loan agreements. Also, s/he will identify and demonstrate ways to increase equity within enterprises.

    Enterprise Outreach and Markets Specialist

Incumbent will identify suitable regions for site offices; track and analyze markets’ needs by industry type for Project support services; identify, analyze and report market economic indicators within the Project’s selected regions; provide potential customers (leads) for the Business Service Providers.

Furthermore, s/he will work with SME Specialist to establish and maintain local market development databases and schedules and to provide assistance to specific enterprises or industries in ways to identify and penetrate local and foreign markets.
