Just World Partners and Timor Aid are seeking a trainer for a two year contract to train East Timorese NGO staff in project development and project management.

The post will be based in Dili, East Timor. Areas of training will include:

(For senior project staff)

1) Communications and training

2) Principles of sustainable development

3) Participatory approaches and methodologies

4) Project cycle management (i.e. design and monitoring of projects)

5) Funding mechanisms

6) Team management

(For district officers)

1) Livelihood issues

2) Communications skills

3) Participatory approaches and methodologies

4) Needs analysis

5) Basic project design

6) Monitoring

The trainer is expected to develop training materials, deliver training and coordinate external training where needed. The trainer will work alongside the East Timorese trainees and training will be largely ‘on the job’. The applicant should:

* Be an experienced trainer

* Be familiar with the above areas of training

* Be fluent in English

* Be fluent in Indonesian or Portuguese or have a willingness to learn Tetun
