Is Looking for : Senior Adviser For the Danish Assistance to the National Leprosy Eradication Programme (DANLEP) Phase-III Project Description: DANLEP has been assisting the NLEP since 1986. During this phase the priority is on assisting the NLEP at state level to fully integrate with the general health system. Responsibilities : Under the guidance of the Chief Adviser, the Senior Adviser will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day implementation of project activities in three states where Danida assists the NLEP. Her/she will play an active role in and contribute to the development of innovative approaches, in close liaison with the respective Leprosy Control Units. The activities include : Human Resources Development, Monitoring & Evaluation; IEC; Health Systems Research and Prevention of Disabilities. In addition he/she will be responsible for the proper oranisational and administrative functioning of the DANLEP Central Support Unit in New Delhi. Qualifications : Graduate in Medical or Social Sciences with a post-graduate degree in either Health Management, Public Health, Preventive & Social medicine or Community Development. The candidate should have outstanding leadership and senior management experience in the field of health services delivery. Proven experience in organisational and human resources development is essential as well as the ability to liaise with Government and Non-government agencies and individuals. Further essential skills : creative ad flexible attitude, ability to listen to and work with groups of professionals, planning and developing monitoring control systems,and writing clear and concise reports. Terms of Employment : The initial employment will be for two years. Duty station will be New Delhi with frequent travel to the states. Remmuneration will be around Rs. Six Lakhs per annum.
