Requires : Director In partial modifications of the advertisement published earlier in this newspaper for the Post of Director, State Resource Centre Assam, a fresh advertisement is made as follows. the applicants who have applied in response to our earlier advertisement may not submit fresh applications, their case will be duly considered. We are a leading voluntary agency of Assam located at the state capital. We have an excellent track record of performance in the field of adult education. We have been running the State Resource Centre for a number of years and have provided excellent support to the literacy and adult education programme being run in all the districts of Assam. Our area or work includes material preparation, training, research, evaluation etc. We are looking for a dynamic person to head the organization as its Director. The Director would be the member secretary of the Governing Body and would be in charge of providing the organization with leadership, direction and drive. He would also be fully incharge of all day -to-day activities. The director is expected to have proven capabilities of motivating and leading a team of professionals. He/She should have good management skills and be a team builder. Qualification and Experience : Essential : Minimum Second Class Master Degree From a recognized University or equivalent. Seven years experiences in supervisory capacity preferably in the field of education and Social Science research. Working knowledge of local language. Desirable : (1) BBA or MBA - Diploma / Degree ; (2) Experience in Administration or Management; (3) Experience in leading a team;(4)Experience in heading an organization;(5) Experience in guiding / conducting or research and evaluation. Age : Minimum 40 years - maximum 57 years as on the date of application. Terms and Conditions The selected candidate will be paid a minimum remuneration of Rs. 20,000/- only per month. Facilities would also be provided for transport, provident fund, residential telephone and house rent allowance in lieu of residential accommodation and such other facilities as management Committee of SRC deems fit. The appointment would be on two year contract basis subject to extension by one more year on mutual agreement. In such cases emoluments will be decided by the Governing body of the SRC but these will not be less that what is being currently drawn by the candidate in his parent department.
