Requires : Regional I.T. Co-ordinator - Asia

ActionAid is an international development organisation working with over five million of the worlds poorest people in more than 30 countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Carribean. ActionAid seeks an experienced and highly motivated Regional I.T., Co-ordinator to form part of its Regional team in Asia, to be based in New Delhi. The Asia Region is responsible for all operations of the organisation in Asia currently comprising of five country programs : Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam.

The selected candidate will work with country programs to develop and ensure the achievement of an I.T. strategy for the Region which will provide a dynamic framework for the management and delivery of I.T. services. Working with the international I.T. policy and standards group, s/he will ensure that I.T. operations in Asia are managed in accordance with best practices within the organisation. Through information, knowledge management and project coordination, s/he will promote regional collaboration, team building and learning.

Applications should preferably be women who are post-graduates in Computer Science, Engineering or Management with at least ten years of relevant experience of which 5 years should have been in a supervisory / managerial capacity. S/he should be well versed in Information Technology, Information and Communications Systems, the World Wide Web and Knowledge Management. S/he will share ActionAid's vision and values be able to work in horizontal teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. S/he will be required to travel extensively.
