Requires : Chief Executive Director

Lead An Organisation That Really Sees The Big Picture

Greenpeace is a global organisation which focuses on environmental action and protection. Greenpeace believes in the principle of 'bearing witness' - drawing attention to the abuse and possible destruction of natural ecosystems-and aims to ensure that the world is a better place to live in for future generations.

Greenpeace is currently seeking to establish a permanent presence in India, with a central office in New Delhi and campaign office in Mumbai. As a legal registration procedures are underway we are looking for a creative and inspiring person to lead our small but highly motivated and enthusiastic team.

As the public face of Greenpeace India, we envisage our Chief Executive Director will have an understanding of, empathy with and /or passion for environmental issues, strong but consultative leadership, interpersonal and management skills, financial management skills and the ability to generate and communicate a vision. An understanding of marketing and the ability to build teams and achieve results through others, and a sound understanding of regional political and business processes would also be useful.

The Chief Executive Director reports to the Greenpeace International Regional Development Manager and, when the registration process are completed, to the Board of Greenpeace India. Preferred location is New Delhi.
